You had mentioned reading Sandi’s blog about her experiences living with the Roger’s- can you provide a link or the web address? Does she wish to share that or keep it private and in the past?

  2. Heather says:

Has Sandi, or anyone else, ever attempted to file charges against the Rogers? Especially since you state that children are still in the home with them?

  3. Nola says:

The music you have over Sandi Baxter’s interview is so distracting & way to loud. It takes away from the seriousness of what she is saying.

Hi Nola, thanks for your comment. When we released these we were newbies to podcasting, so sorry if the music is a little wonky. Hope you enjoyed the story anyway. Thanks for listening! -Jordan

  4. Mura says:

What ever happened with the other foster kids who supposedly had the same stories of satanic rituals? It seems there is no evidence backing up any of this story of several murders and hooded figures torturing children.

      Hi there,
This topic is so contentious that it was hard to report on. If we say that it didn’t happen, we aren’t supporting a victim’s claims, and are considered dismissive/insensitive. If we say that it did, we get asked where the hard evidence is: we’ve have both reactions to this story. We tried to be fair and present Sandi’s story as she says she experienced it. Thank you for listening! -Jordan

      1. Mura says:

No matter what you report on this case, you will be considered insensitive, as the incredible allegations are very damaging to the Rogerses. They are being accused of multiple child homicides here. You were fair enough to give Dorothy a chance to speak, but the surreal tale spun by Sandi overwhelms anything she could say about their family history. Corroboration by others would help, but as it stands there isn’t any substance to the claims. It’s quite a pickle to do this story, I can see.

At one point, Sandi says that she was told by a therapist that implanted memories only happen in the context of hypnosis. This is not true; I suggest you look up Elizabeth Loftus’ work on memory, particularly the Disney study (where children who had visited Disney World ‘remembered’ meeting Wile E. Coyote after a researcher suggested to them that some of them may have met the famous coyote–as a Hanna Barbera creation, it’s impossible for anyone to meet Wile E. Coyote at any Disney owned attraction).

If you consider Sandi’s story in the light of Dr Loftus’ research, there are plausible possible explanations for some of Sandi’s recollections.
